What to know about metallic epoxy floors

A metallic floor is an epoxy with metallic pigment worked by hand while it is wet, so every floor comes out one of a kind.

The finish is your call: the color, the texture and how much shine. Ask to see samples, because a color reads differently on a whole floor than on a chip.

01

One of a kind

The movement and depth come from how the pigment is worked on the day. No two floors match, which is the point.

02

Color choices

From soft silvers and greys to deep blues and coppers. Ask to see real samples under your own lighting.

03

Where it suits

Living spaces, showrooms, offices and garages where the floor is part of the look.

04

Care

A metallic floor shows more than a flake floor does. Ask about the topcoat and the care routine before you choose.

FAQ

FAQ

Questions

Can I see what my floor will look like first?

You can see samples and photos of finished floors, but a metallic floor is worked by hand on the day, so the final pattern is never an exact copy of a sample. Talk through the colors and the movement you like before the work starts.

Is a metallic floor slippery?

A smooth topcoat can be slick when wet. A fine texture can be added to the topcoat where the floor gets wet, so ask about it for garages, entries and anywhere water gets on the floor.
